Motley Crue always seems to be pushing the limit on how to sustain life whilst drowning in a bottle of tequila coupled with a side of cocaine. That is essentially part of their allure...Keith Richards needs competition anyways. The "motley looking crew" is scheduled to reprise their hard rock tour this coming summer with Crue Fest 2: The White Trash Circus. If it sounds like something you don't want your kids attending, it is. But for a rowdy, raucous event that will leave you wondering how you survived, The White Trash Circus is most definitely where it's at. Starting July 19, the crazed rockers will enthrall fans with smashing guitar riffs and screeching vocals. You will have your chance to catch them live onstage until September 5, when the Crue Fest 2 is likely to wrap up. Thousands of fans will undoubtedly storm stadiums and arenas around the country to subject their eardrums to an aggressive assault. Raw, grittiness and a "tough guy" mantra is what led the ragtag pals of Motley Crue to become a force to be reckoned with in the business of heavy metal music. Encompassing all elements of trashiness, rebelliousness and aggressiveness these guys took craziness to a whole new level (although still unmatched is Ozzy Osbourne's taste for live bats). Tommy Lee and the boys have enjoyed success thanks to numerous albums released over the years, although their most famous record is still probably Dr. Feelgood, which crash-landed in stores in 1989 and created a musical sensation around the world.

Along with musical success, the band met with continued instances of controversy, with various run-ins with the law, odd mishaps and the release of strange, raunchy sex-tapes featuring none other than Pamela Anderson. This, coupled with their growing popularity, made Motley Crue the apple of everyone's eye in the metal industry. Aspiring bands sought to mimic their rambunctious ways and fans showed up to concerts, sporting the same rugged attire as the bandmates.

Over the years, Motley Crue has endured many ups and downs. Vince Neil Wharton was involved in a fatal automobile accident due to reckless drunk driving and which ended up killing his good friend and resulted in broken bones and brain damage for the other fellow passengers. After a short time in jail, Neil returned to the band, which was now rife with drug use and was privy to all of the goings on in Tommy Lee's personal life-including high-profile marriages to first Heather Locklear and then to Pamela Anderson. Inner fights between bandmembers eventually led Lee to leave the band in the late 1990s.

Not to worry though...Motley Crue is back in working order and released a new album, Saints of Los Angeles, in 2008 and is busy promoting their upcoming tour. See the band live to get the full effect of Motley Crue life.
